When Paddington first went to live with the Browns they bought him a blue duffle coat which he wears most of the time. It has a hood and is fastened with wooden toggles. This charming heirloom quality coat features wooden toggle closures over a hidden button placket, two front pockets (for marmalade sandwiches), and a wonderful red satin lining with Peggy Fortnum's classic Paddington illustrations. 

The 10" Paddington Bear soft toy is made of soft honey brown plush with black sparkling eyes. He wears a red felt hat and bright yellow Wellington boots with his blue wool duffle coat, as well as his legendary tag that reads "Please Look After This Bear".

This style runs true to size, but we suggest going up one size for longer wear.  The sleeves are fully lined so that they can be folded up without losing their charm.  Children's coat sizes correspond to the child's age, so for an average two year old order a 2T, or a 3T if you would like room to grow! 

The Paddington Classic Wool Duffle Coat is what we call a three season jacket. It is designed to be layered over fleeces and sweaters in the coldest weather and worn on its own in the autumn and spring. The blue wool outer fabric is soft and comfortable from the first wear. 

This coat is Dry Clean Only. Most families tell us that they only need to dry clean their coat at the end of each season before they put it away for the summer.

Lining: 100% poly

 

This coat is designed in Texas and made in China. In 2019 we embarked on the process of finding overseas manufacturers that were in accord with our ethical design and manufacturing processes, as well as able to comply with the strict guidelines required by our licensing partners. We are proud of the resulting partnerships which will allow us to keep more products in stock year round, and committed to transparency so that you know where your garments are made.
